SLUG Magazine and the 10th Annual SLUG Games Series announce the SLUG Prom Jam at Brighton Resort on February 6, 2010
SALT LAKE CITY, December 30, 2009 – Dust off your tux and get ready to spike the punch. SLUG Magazine is chaperoning the prom at Brighton Mountain Resort for the first installment of the 2010 SLUG Games Series. Come see who gets crowned this years King and Queen on Saturday, February 6.
The course, built by Jared Winkler co-owner of KAB (Kick Ass Builders) rail-building company, and the Brighton Terrain Park Crew, will feature school themed features that will get your jibbing senses tingling. Talk about a win-win situation for contestants and spectators alike, this day will go down in infamy among the local riders of Salt Lake. All levels of competition are welcome. Divisions include men’s and women’s brackets, which will be subdivided into 17-and-under, and an open skiing and snowboarding categories
Pre registration available NOW online at thesluggames.com. The cost to enter will be $25 plus lift ticket. There will be discount lift passes available to all competitors. Warm-ups will be held from 9 a.m. -10 a.m. The competition itself will be held from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. (helmets required). Killer prizes will be awarded to 1st through 3rd place winners. First place winners will walk away with cash and snowboards. Second and third place winners will receive items such as goggles and outerwear.
The SLUG Prom Jam is presented by Natty Light, who will keep the adult beverages flowing, Scion, who will have cars on site the day of the contest and Yudu, who will be screen printing prom themed bibs for competitors.
