SALT LAKE CITY, March 9, 2012 – Tomorrow, March 10, 2012, Utah’s finest Night Owls will shred and grind the night away at the second and final SLUG Games contest of 2012.
For the second year in a row SLUG Games will host a night contest at Park City Mountain Resort under the lights in the 3 Kings Terrain Park. The contest’s course, built by terrain park manager Jeremy Cooper and the Park City Park Crew, will feature wall rides, jumps, boxes as well as Utah’s finest shredders and skiers.
“I’m super excited to work with Park City again to host another installment of the SLUG Games! Last year’s success proved to the local ski and snowboard community how much fun a night contest can be. I expect nothing less from this year’s Shred the Park After Dark,” says SLUG Games team manager Mike Brown.
Registration is free, opens at 2 p.m. day of the contest at Park City Mountain Resort and will close at 4 p.m. Discounted lift tickets will be available for competitors. Please arrive early, as registration will cap at 100 entrants. If capacity for the contest is reached before 4 p.m. registration will close at that time. The competition begins at 4:30 p.m. All levels of competition are welcome. Divisions include men’s brackets for skiing and snowboarding, which will be subdivided into amateur and open categories, as well as a women’s open ski and snowboarding division. Prizes will be awarded to 1st – 3rd place competitors. Helmets required.
