Saturday, Feb. 21 was a gorgeous day at The Canyons Mountain Resort and the perfect day for SLUG Magazine’s Beat The Pro competition. The obstacles in the course were perfectly built and it showed in the entrants’ performances. The competitors threw down so many 720s and 9s in a very short period of time. The amateurs gave the pros a run for their money and the competition ended up going later than anyone expected. It truly was amazing watching the pros and the ams brother/ sisterhood during the competition, it was as if they didn’t care who won, but just wanted to put on a good show. After it was all said and done these were the people who went above and beyond against Stefan Thomas, Bjorn Leines, Cale Zima and Iris Lazzareschi’s technical trickeries.
